Yarnnakarn is a small Arts & Crafts studio in Bangkok, telling stories through our contemporary ceramic pieces about the passage of time and diversity among humans and nature.

Our local craftsmen create wistful ceramic pieces, using experimental techniques and materials. The natural clays are gathered from various locations in Thailand and mixed to our own formula. The story of each individual piece is told in details. Slight variations of forms, colours, and textures are unique characteristics.

We use non-toxic glazes and allow each piece to come into being in its own time, with variations in temperature and moisture. Let these pieces find a place in your personal story.

  5. Dear Jules, Thank you for your question. Our ceramics are lead-free and pass ‘CAL PROP 65’ test. They are made from pure clay and minerals.

  6. Dear Jenny,

    Thank you for your purchase.

Our plates were fired at very high temperature therefore they should be generally microwave and dishwasher safe.

However, ‘hand wash’ is suggested for best care because through handmade processed, it could be rare circumstances that might happen. Though, there was no cases occurred.

  7. Hello,
I bought 28 of your beautiful plates at Anthropologie. I cannot find any washing instructions. Are they dishwasher safe? And lead free? Thank you.
